The World Health Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. It is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and has six regional offices and 150 field offices worldwide.
It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence based  policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.

REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for a position, you have to possess the following :
• Effective cooperation and communication skills.
• A mastery in English and good working proficiency of a second UN language.
• An awareness of procedure issues and a keen interest in public health.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Knowledge at the national and international levels in your area of expertise.
• A university degree as well as a postgraduate profession in a health- or management-related field.
• Must have 1 to 15 years of relevant experiences.
• A secondary, specialized or commercial school education.
• A very good command of one official language. Knowledge of a second and third language is important.
